Take My Hand Now is Barbara Christain's first book.

Barbara is a retired middle school science teacher/counselor.  She holds a Bachelor's Degree in elementary education with specializations in mathematics and general science.  She also has a Master's Degree in school counseling.  In 2001, Barbara attained the status of National Certified Teacher in early adolescent science from the National Board of Professional Teaching Standards.  Her training in higher education was obtained at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia.

She and her husband Jim reside in the village of South Point in the southeastern tip of Ohio.  They have two grown children and five grandchildren.

In addition to writing, Barbara loves to quilt and read.  Much of her reading is done through audio books.  She says that is because that makes it possible to do two things at one time.  She is currently serving as the administrative assistant at the Westmoreland United Methodist Church in Huntington, West Virginia.

She hasn't ruled out the possibility of a second book, but has decided to dedicate her energies at this time to spreading the messages that are contained within this book that honor the life and deaths of her parents, Ruth and Bill Pearson.
